Matt heads up Gowling's Artificial Intelligence Law team, he is General Editor of The Law of Artificial Intelligence (Sweet & Maxwell) and was made a fellow of the RSA for his work on AI and the law. He is a particular expert on AI and IP, including the subsistence and ownership of IP in inventions, text and images generated by AI, enforcement of AI-related IP, trade secret protection, TDM exceptions and the cross-border use of data and trained models.
